Cold enamel is a high-thickness, solvent-free, odorless two-components resin for professional use which, when cured, has the following characteristics: excellent adhesion to glass, hard and elastic-resistant surface, good resistance to alkalis and to acids, good resistance to solvents, good resistance to light.
Transparency and shine: in the transparent version, both neutral and colored, the enamel is presented with transparency and gloss similar to glass.
Hardness and adhesion: enamel has an exceptional adhesion on multiple supports (glass, metal, precious metals, plastics, leather, stones, wood and other natural materials), therefore its use is very wide. Originally, enamel appears and is distinguished by its hardness and brilliance, but it is also possible to obtain it with a variable elasticity up to a softness equal to the rubber while remaining exceptionally bright. This means that it is applicable on both rigid and flexible materials.
Resistance: resistant to scratches, shocks, mechanical pressures, good resistance to light (for the degree of resistance of the individual colors, see the specific technical data sheet).
It can be sanded and polished. All the colors available can also be supplied with a higher viscosity to be used as a contour (“gel”, for this processing see specific sheet).
For other chemical-physical information, see the safety data sheet and the package label.
The enamel can be applied on the piece to be painted, decorated or covered in the following ways: by means of a special dispenser, brush, spatula, sponging, pouring into the mold. It is possible to carry out overprinting by sublimation transfer.
The above techniques are used for the decoration of:
Goldsmithery – Silverware – Costume jewelery – Plaques – glass – Heels and footwear accessories – Glasses – Ornaments – Household items – Christmas items – Chandeliers – Gadgets – Favors – Gift items – Frames – Buttons – Small metal cases and small items.
Regulations
All glazes, once polymerized (dried), comply with the following standards:
